Nainital Jim Corbett Tour Itinerary

This is the day-by-day plan of the Nainital Jim Corbett tour.

Day 1: Arrive in Nainital

We meet you at Kathgodam station (about 35 km, one and a half hours), Pantnagar airport (about 70 km) or in Delhi (about 320 km, seven to eight hours). Drive up into the Kumaon hills to Nainital and check in to your hotel. In the evening, walk along the Mall by the lake.

Day 2: Nainital Sightseeing

Ride the cable car to Snow View Point for views of the Himalayan snow peaks, visit the Naina Devi temple and walk or take a pony to Tiffin Top. Shop at the Tibetan market in Mallital, and end the day with a boat ride on Naini Lake as the sun goes down.

Day 3: Nainital to Jim Corbett and Afternoon Safari

Drive about 65 km, two hours, down to the jungle resorts near Ramnagar. After lunch, go on your first jeep safari in an open jeep with a park guide, looking for tigers, elephants, deer and birds.

Day 4: Morning Safari and the Kosi River

Start before sunrise for a morning jeep safari, the best time to see animals. Return to the resort for breakfast. In the afternoon, visit the Garjiya Devi temple on the Kosi river or the Corbett Museum at Kaladhungi, or relax at the resort.

Day 5: Departure
