Solang Valley

About 14 km from Manali, with snow and skiing in winter, and paragliding, zorbing and cable car rides in summer. A Manali Solang Valley tour is part of every itinerary.

Rohtang Pass

A high mountain pass at about 3,978 m, with snow for much of the year. Manali Rohtang Pass tours run when the road is open, usually from late spring to autumn. Vehicle numbers are limited by permit.

Atal Tunnel and Sissu

The long road tunnel under the mountains takes you to Sissu in the Lahaul Valley, with its waterfall and wide snow views. It is open for much of the year.

Hadimba Temple and Old Manali

A wooden temple in a cedar forest, and the old village above town with its cafes and lanes.

Kullu and Naggar

Kullu is famous for river rafting and shawls. Naggar has an old stone and wood castle with a view over the valley.

River Rafting in Kullu

River rafting in Kullu on the Beas River is one of the best activities of any Kullu Manali holiday package. The runs are short and suit beginners, with trained guides and safety gear. Rafting is usually open in spring and autumn, and closed in the monsoon.

Manali Tour Packages from Delhi

Most of our guests begin their Manali tour packages in Delhi or Chandigarh.

• Kullu Manali tour package from Delhi: Manali is about 540 km from Delhi, a long day’s drive. Most guests break the journey in Shimla or Chandigarh.
• Manali Volvo tour package: travel overnight from Delhi by Volvo bus, and our car meets you in Manali for the sightseeing.
• By air: fly to Kullu (Bhuntar) airport, about 50 km from Manali, or to Chandigarh.

Best Time to Book Manali Tour Packages

• March to June: the main season, with snow on the high slopes and pleasant days in town.
• July to September: green and quiet, but rain can close roads.
• October and November: clear skies and autumn colours.
• December to February: cold, with snow in Manali and skiing at Solang. Rohtang Pass is usually closed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many days are enough for Manali?

Three or four days are enough for Manali, Solang and Rohtang or Sissu. Allow six or seven days to add Shimla.

Is Rohtang Pass included?

Yes, when it is open. We apply for the vehicle permit for your date. When Rohtang is closed, we go to Sissu through the Atal Tunnel instead.

When will I see snow in Manali?

From December to February in town, and for most of the year higher up at Solang, Rohtang and Sissu.

Are Manali tour packages good for families?

Yes. Manali is safe and friendly, and we plan short drives and child-friendly hotels.
