DAY 07: ORCHHA – KHAJURAHO

After breakfast, drive to the ancient town of Khajuraho, globally recognized for its magnificent temple complex and intricate sculptures. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel/resort. When you’re ready, set out to explore the enchanting ancient town of temples.

The ancient temples of Khajuraho are celebrated for their splendid craftsmanship, showcasing exceptional architectural skill and fine sculptures. This UNESCO World Heritage Site in India is renowned for its stunning beauty. The sculptures, beautiful, detailed, and expressive, will leave you in awe and wonder. These temples are divided into three groups: Western, Eastern, and Southern.

Explore the Western Group of temples, adorned with approximately 870 marvelous sculptures on their interior and exterior walls. Notable temples to visit include the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, built between 1025 and 1050, the beautifully carved Jagdambi Temple, and the Chitragupta Temple dedicated to Lord Surya, the Sun.
