Best Time to Book Dharamshala Tour Packages
- March to June: pleasant days and the main season. The best time for Triund.
- July to September: heavy monsoon rain. Dharamshala is one of the wettest places in India.
- October and November: clear skies and sharp mountain views.
- December to February: cold, with snow on the peaks and sometimes at Triund.

How many days are enough for Dharamshala?
Two or three days are enough for Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj. Add a day for Triund or the Kangra Valley.
Can I see the Dalai Lama?
He sometimes gives public teachings at the main temple in McLeod Ganj. Dates are announced on his official website, so check before you travel.
Is the Triund trek difficult?
It is a moderate walk of about four to five hours up. Families with older children manage it well with a guide.
